The Civil Engineering Program will prepare students for professional performance in the global society and for life-long learning and continued professional development though a comprehensive, forward-looking and broad-based curriculum in civil engineering emphasizing fundamentals and practical applications, oral and written communication skills, computer application skills, and professional practice issues and ethics.
Our graduates will have:
A strong and broad fundamental scientific and technical knowledge base that will provide the necessary tools to begin a career in civil engineering;
The ability to identify, formulate, develop and execute practical, innovative, high quality and cost efficient solutions for civil engineering problems ; and,
An awareness and understanding of the moral, ethical, legal and professional obligations needed to function as a part of a professional enterprise while protecting human health and welfare and the environment in a global society, and,
An awareness and understanding of the need for personal and professional growth through continuing education, professional development, professional licensure, and increased community, and the global market place, and,
